TheFOB and our social and environmental mission
TheFOB is a Brazilian Marketplace
Artisans from around Brazil (many living in rural communities) do not have the means to sell their work on the international market. TheFOB gives them a platform to do this, and reach customers on a global scale. Offering the finest products from all over Brazil to our international customers exposes the native talent that is inherent in the diversity of Brazilian artistry. As we state on our homepage, at TheFOB, you can find unique Brazilian items that are difficult to find, even in Brazil.
Meeting the Artists
We are committed to transparency. We research, get to know and spend time with our artisans. We create relationships with our artists and care about their working environment, and their needs. We know you care about who you're buying from, and who you're supporting. This is why we go out of our way to capture the real artisan story. On most of the product pages you'll find information about each artist and when available, videos of them producing these unique treasures that you desire.

TheFOB provides itself on knowing that our artisans are being compensated fairly, have safe work environments and benefit on every level by working closely as a team. Our customers can rest assured that bringing our artisans to the forefront and benefitting the communities is extremely important to us. TheFOB is a family and we would like you to be part of this global family.
Sustainability and Environmental Benefits
The materials that are used by our family of artisans are all sustainably produced items. These include clay, seeds, fabrics, and leather. Our gems are legally mined in an environmentally responsible matter. We also use conscious packaging and shipping. We aim to export with purpose and benefit the many talented artisans in Brazil. Through this work we are able to share Brazilian culture, heritage and art as well as encourage and support local Brazilian artisans. They are TheFOB - The Finest of Brazil.
