Product Description

This book is the most up-to-date picture of Brazilian agriculture and today's production cycle, bringing together with expertise two distinct approaches: one is the analytical viewpoint of scientist and author Evaristo Eduardo de Miranda, and the other, a visual collection from Pulsar Images, by photographer Delfim Martins and team, enhanced by state-of-the-art satellite images. In this original publication, the urban public is made aware of the complexities of the rural area and, at the same time, of a new identity for agriculture in the early years of the 21st century.

The ecologist Evaristo Eduardo de Miranda was a professor at the Botany Institute of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE) and the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo (USP), and is a member of several scientific societies. He has acted as a consultant to the UN at the World Conference on the Environment, Rio-92 and is the author of hundreds of scientific and publicity articles published in Brazil and abroad, as well as more than 30 books.
