Aldemir Martins was born in Ingazeiras, Ceará in 1922. He died in 2006 at the age of 83 in São Paulo, leaving a legacy characterized by the quality of his technique and for interpreting the Brazilian "being". He won the "Presidente Dei Consigli dei Ministeri" prize at the Biennale in Venice, 1956, given to the best international designer/drawer. Aldemir was instrumental in stimulating art and empowering artists, establishing art groups in his home state such as ARTYS and SCAP, organizations destined to the development of local artists. Aldemir Martins was no stranger to innovation and his artistic technique is extended to various forms of expression: painting, engraving, design, ceramics and sculpture using diverse materials. The work of this treasured Brazilian artist will add value and culture to any environment.
