This unique piece was made by members of the Kuikuro indigenous group, one of the tribes living in the Xingu Indigenous Park. This park covers an area of 27,000 square kilometers located in the north of the state of Mato Grosso, deep within the amazon basin. There are 5,500 inhabitants, divided into many different tribes and ethnicities, differing between dialects and culture.
The crafts of the Kuikuro are considered some of the most beautiful because of their technical mastery in clay and by the aesthetic quality of their drawings. Authentic objects like this unique hammock look great in any home.
