Product Description

This is the most complete illustrated book to present the phytogeographic and abiotic aspects that surround the main ecosystems found in the great domains of Brazilian nature. Ecosystems of Brazil brings the universe of ecological relations of Brazilian vegetation, from when the country was a tropical paradise untouched until the current stage of human occupation of the national territory.

The text was written by Aziz Ab'Saber, (24/10/1924 - 3/16/2012), Honorary President of the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science (SBPC), Honorary Member of the Brazilian Archeology Society, Grand Cross In Earth Sciences by the National Order of Scientific Merit, International Ecology Prize 1998 and Unesco Prize for Science and Environment, considered as a reference in matters related to the environment and the environmental impacts resulting from human activities.

He is the author of Litoral do Brasil (Metalivros, 2001) and other works of humanistic and scientific value. The work brings 253 images of one of the greatest photographers of nature of Brazil, Luiz Claudio Marigo.
