Product Description

This was the first complete book on this topic and is the result of four years of research by the ecologist Evaristo Eduardo de Miranda, who was professor of the Botany Institute of the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), the Institute of Biosciences of the University of São Paulo (USP), and is a member of several scientific societies.

He has acted as a consultant to the UN at the World Conference on the Environment, Rio-92 and is the author of hundreds of scientific and publicity articles published in Brazil and abroad, as well as more than 30 books.

The work offers the unique opportunity to get to know the 34 Brazilian botanical gardens. In addition to texts on the history and management of each garden, the work brings together almost 300 images, most of them previously unpublished. The images are by Fabio Colombini, a photographer specializing in nature.
