This sculpture is inspired by the foliage of the Brazilian forest.

The unique pieces from this collection are inspired by both the richness of Brazilian culture and the luscious natural environment of the country, with its great colors, diversity and sinuous forms. These unique handmade sculptures were made of polyester resin molded and sculpted in clay, with limited drawing in silicone forms. Each piece takes about 7 to 10 days to be completed. We think this art is a beautiful expression of pleasing contemporary esthetics. The sculpture's color is defined by contemplating the expression of the piece, and when colors mix, compositions that cannot be replicated are created. In essence, Angela Bassan creates one of a kind art pieces!

Angela Bassan is an artist from São Paulo that combines the power of art and design to create utilitarian and decorative objects. Angela's sculptures bring art closer to people's lives. Some artists that inspire Angela, include the legendary Oscar Niemeyer and Tomie Ohtake. She studied Plastic Arts at the FAAP university in São Paulo and has a specialization in Art and Education from ECA-USP. Angela has been a member of the faculty at the Brazilian Museum of Sculpture - Mube, a curator of various art shows and has also participated in several expositions in Brazil and abroad. She is currently a professor at FAAP, where she teaches sculpture courses…as we can see she has mastered her trade.
