Product Description

This special pair of earrings made from silver and residual solid woods are not only gorgeous but use sustainable practices. The wood used is a collection of leftover remnants from woodworking shops, demolitions and even pieces found on the street! This style came about through the desire to increase discourse between consumption, sustainability and culture. Employing the use of marquetry, a technique traditionally reserved for furniture and utensils, Utrópica is transforming material destined to end up in landfills into exclusive accessories and jewelry that carry the plurality of nature and Brazilian culture. Every little piece matters and if anything is left over, it's used to make a new piece. Be part of a conscious consumer movement!

About the artist:

Utrópica creates sustainable, upcycled jewelry, decorative pieces and ethnic masks. In Vitória, within the state of Espírito Santo (Southeast region of the country), the self-taught artisan artist Lucas Pessôa is responsible for the collection of materials, the design and creation processes. Nathália Procópio with big admiration and enthusiasm takes care of the business side of things, from sales and partnerships to communications. The brand's inspiration stems from nature, the roots of Brazilian culture and the desire to create completely unique, artisanal designs. Art, handicraft, global, local: Utrópica crosses borders.
